FAQ
How do I get to your office?
Take exit 8 off of I-240 and head southwest on Fairview Rd. Turn right onto Bleachery Blvd, then take the next available left turn. You need to go past the single parking spot next to Rene's Clip-n-Dip, there is a larger parking lot just past the building. It's hidden behind a wall, but we promise it's there! We are on the second level of the building which is at the same level as the parking lot. Once parked head toward the building where you will see a deck walkway on the left side adjacent to Bleachery Blvd. Follow the deck walkway all the way to the end and we are the very last door on the right.
I've never had a massage, what do I need to know?
Arrive about 5 minutes early to fill out a quick form. Your massage therapist will invite you into the massage room to ask you some questions about your form and what types of massage you are and are not comfortable receiving. If you are not sure about something, please ask questions! We want to make sure you have the best experience possible. Once your treatment has been discussed, your massage therapist will ask you to dress down to your comfort level, tell you which way to face on the table, and leave the room. When dressing down, most people will take off outer clothes, socks, bras, and jewelry, and just leave on their underwear. This is the best way to make sure your massage therapist has access to all the muscles they need to make you feel your best. If you are uncomfortable taking off certain articles, that is fine, but please remember to get UNDER the top sheet when you get on the table. The massage therapist will always leave the sheets covering your chest and genitals, but they will fold them back enough to reach your lower back, arms, and legs. If you are uncomfortable with anything at any point (including where the sheets are, the pressure, the temperature, etc.), please speak up. A massage is meant to be relaxing, but not everyone finds the same things relaxing.
Will it be difficult to get onto the table?
One of our treatment rooms now has an electric massage table that can be lowered as far down as 18" off the floor, making it very easy for most people to get onto the table. It is ADA compliant. Also, every treatment room has a step stool for those needing a little assistance with the height of our stationary tables.
Am I supposed to make small talk the whole time?
You can if you'd like to! We'll listen to your stories, answer your questions, or have a great chat with you about the weather... or dogs. If you'd prefer to just listen to the sounds of the music and drift into a relaxed slumber, you're welcome to do that as well. We'll follow your lead.
Can I bring in my own lotion/oil?
We provide a variety of different lotions and oils to accommodate most preferences and allergies. If you have any concerns, please give us a call.
Can I come in for my appointment if I am sick?
Unfortunately, no. Even if you wear a mask, you are still going to be in very close personal proximity to other people, and while we do put emphasis on cleanliness, it is better for you and for the therapist if you reschedule for a time when you are feeling better.
