Medical Massage Services

A medical massage performed by a trained and licensed massage therapist can give your body the comfort it needs to help you feel better.

After an Accident, Surgery, and During Treatment

Medical massage services are tailored for after an accident, following surgery, or while in treatment or therapy. Although an auto accident may not have resulted in broken bones, the unbearable pain and discomforts of tight muscles after an accident may linger on for months. Massage helps to reprogram muscles and to relax and release tension so the body can move more freely.

Hospitals and Physicians Recommend Massage

Research shows that massage is also beneficial for even more serious conditions such as:

Massage lowers blood pressure, increases endorphins (natural pain killers), enhances recovery, improves the well-being of the patient and speeds up healing. Hospitals and physicians are also beginning to recommend massage to minimize the side effects of cancer treatment: depression, anxiety, pain, and nausea. Conditions such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, carpel tunnel syndrome, and many more conditions can become manageable with massage.

Insurance Coverage

When a massage is prescribed by your physician and insurance coverage is expected, charges for this service are based on additional record keeping and required reports. For a medically necessary massage, please review the information below. Medical massages are done in 15 minute "units" according to insurance standards.
